Gülüşü bir yabancının,
Çalmıştır senden sevdiğini;

Bir anı bile kalmamıştır,
Geceler boyu sevişmelerden;

Και αν είσαι φωτιά που με καίει
πάνω στο κορμί σου χορεύω
γίνομαι λάβα που ρέει
και αν είσαι βροχή που σκορπά
γίνομαι γη και σε πίνω
είμαι πηγή που διψά
μεσ το κορμί μου σε κλείνω

Και αν είσαι πληγή που πονά
μονάχα ο χρόνος το ξέρει
σαν γιατρευτεί μια φορά
θα γίνει η αγάπη λημέρι

Και αν είσαι ήλιος ζεστός
είμαι λουλούδι που ανθίζει
σαν αντικρίζω το φως
και αν είσαι ψυχή που περνά
του κόσμου τα μονοπάτια
θα σ ανταμώσω ξανά
με τις καρδιάς μου τα μάτια

Μα αν είσαι πληγή που πονά
μονάχα ο χρόνος το ξέρει
σαν γιατρευτείς μια φορά
θα γίνει η αγάπη λημέρι

"Imagine a new world"

Imagination is the faculty through which we encounter everything. Things that we touch, see and hear converge into a "picture" via our imagination. Imagination helps provide meaning to experience and understanding to knowledge; it is a fundamental facility through which we make sense of the world.

Since the arrival of the new millennium, our world has increasingly to face global challenges such as demography and the environment, as well as different value systems. The world of today is getting more unstable and unequal. Traditional communities, values and ways of life are disappearing due to economic change and industrial restructuring. Today, Europe and the world are facing a downturn never witnessed since the 1930s. In this time of rapid changes we need to be more flexible and creative and make full use of human capacities. The recovery will clearly depend on creativity and innovation.

Photographers are asked to dig deep in their imagination and provide an original work where they express their vision of a "new world".

The European Commission is inviting all professional and amateur photographers, photography students and all other talents to submit their photographs to the “Imagine a new world” photo competition. It is open to anyone who is resident of an EU Member State or candidate country or of Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway and who shares our passion for photography. This is an opportunity for you to express what creativity and innovation means to you.
